Purple Choy Sum (Brassica rapa var purpurea) OUT OF STOCK

Description

SOLD OUT.

Purple Choy Sum is a highly decorative variety with purple ribbed stems and leaves. The plant produces masses of serrated leaves in a variety of sizes and colours which will deepen in colour as the weather develops. It is a vigorous growing type with lots of pencil thick flowering shoots. It has a mild mustard flavour and tastes beautiful raw in salads, or cooked in a stir fry.

The interest in what we have classed liberally as "Oriental Vegetables" increases every year. They can be used raw in salads, or lightly cooked for use in stir frys and numerous Chinese style meals. We hope you will be tempted to give something different a try.
