Scorzonera Seeds

Scorzonera is not a very common vegetable in Britain. They have long dark brown to black coloured roots and resemble the shape of a carrot or parsnip, but its taste is superior to Salsify. It is a perennial, although usually grown as an annual. To grow scorzonera seeds, sow in a open and sunny position.
Sow seeds at 15-30cm apart once the ground is warm and dry, in April and May.
