Artichoke Seeds

Artichokes are an attractive, thistle like plant. They are pretty easy to grow, but can't be harvested until the following year. The buds are usually harvested before they flower an eaten as a tasty vegetable, but if left to mature then they will produce beautiful blue coloured blooms. To cook, remove the centre stem and then boil, steam or grill.
