Pepper Seeds

Also known as Capsicum. Here at Kings Seeds, we have a wide range of pepper seeds from sweet bell peppers to hot and spicy chilli peppers. If you love spice then check out our range of chilli peppers. Our hottest pepper available is the Bhut Jolokia which has a Scoville Heat rating of over 1 million! We also have small sweet peppers such as Snackbite which are great for lunchboxes!
Whether you're growing sweet peppers or chillies, both are easy to grow just like tomatoes, and have virtually the same treatment. They can be grown outside, but only in sheltered sunny positions. For best results grow in a poly tunnel or a greenhouse.
Sow pepper seeds from February to April on the surface of a free draining compost in either pots or trays and then cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite and place at a temperature of 18-21°C until the seeds germinate. Prick out seedlings when large enough to handle into 7cm (3") pots and grow under glass. Once the plants have reached a height of 10cm, transplant into growbags or 25cm pots and grow under glass. Feed once a week with tomato fertiliser when the first fruits have set. To help support the weight of the crop, its best to tie plants to some canes as they grow.
