Oriental You Qing Choi F1

Description

You Qing Choi F1 is packed full of excellent flavour with an appearance of dark green leaves with the traditional cylindrical shape and the "spoon" shaped petioles. It is a club root tolerant. The heads can get to a weight of 200g.

Pak Choi has been grown in China for about 1500 years. It can be used whole when it is approximately 10cm tall or can be grown longer so that the individual leaves can be used. Pak Choi can be used raw in salads, but when cooked it has more of a spicy flavour to it.

When to Sow You Qing Choi Seeds

Outdoors April to August. Indoors February to September.

Where to Sow

Sow in shallow drills or in modules indoors.
Transplant when they become large enough to handle. Thin to 20cm (8") apart outdoors.

Harvest

When leaves are a usable size break them off so that the plant continues to grow.
40 days to maturity indoors.
45-60 days to maturity outdoors.
