Beetroot seeds - Barbabietola di Chioggia is an Italian favourite, with unusual pink and white rings when the roots are sliced. Has a lovely mild flavour and takes less time to cook when compared to other beetroots. Great for adding interest to salads. Suitable for freezing. Reaches up to 30cm tall overall.

Sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (½") deep with 30cm (12") between rows, in a sunny location.

What to do Next

Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4"). Do not transplant.
