Aubergine Genie F1
Aubergine Genie F1 Seeds
One of the finest Aubergine we've seen in years! Ripens earlier than 'Black Beauty', with creamy-white, nearly seedless flesh. Big yields of huge rounded fruits approximately 13cm long by 6cm wide, making them just the right size for your favourite ratatouille or simply slicing and tossing on the barbeque.
For best results, grow in a greenhouse or a warm sunny, but sheltered position.
Product Part Number: 10411
When to sow
When to Sow Genie Aubergine Seeds
January to April. Germination typically takes 14- 21 days
May to June
July to October, usually around 5 months after sowing.
Where to Sow
Space the seeds 2cm (¾") apart in seed trays or two to a cell in modules under glass at 20°C. Cover seeds lightly with vermiculite or finely sieved compost.
What to do next
As soon as two full leaves have developed, prick off seedlings into individual pots. Grow on and plant into grow-bags or large pots. Plants can be grown in containers outside in a sunny sheltered spot. Feed plants as soon as first fruits set, once a week with a high potash tomato food.
Move patio plants into a cool conservatory as autumn approaches so the last fruits of the season have time to mature fully. The leaves may need to be gently trimmed to expose the flowers.
