Description

Rich mauve thistle like flowers up to 5cm across from July-August. Very decorative silvery heads once the seeds have gone. Add Knapweed to a cup of tea for relief of digestive disorders and tonic effect. An exceptionally beautiful wild flower worthy of any garden. Habitat: chalky Height 45cm

Where to Sow Greater Knapweed Seeds

Sow outside in autumn or spring. Lightly cover the soil and firm. Grow in any garden soil. The plants natural habitat is light chalky soil. Site - full sun. Sow inside in a box of seed compost in spring or anytime in cool weather.  Cover the seed very lightly and keep compost moist but not saturated.  Prick out when large enough and grow on before planting out.
