When to Sow Dimorphotheca Seeds

February to May

Flowers

July to October

Where to Sow Polar Star Dimorphotheca Seeds

Sow seeds into pots or trays filled with a good seed sowing compost and lightly cover the seeds with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Germination usually takes 10-15 days at 15-18C (60-65F). Alternatively a direct sowing can be made during April and May where they are to flower.

What to do Next

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart. Direct sown plants can be thinned out as required to 30cm (12in) apart.

Handy Tip

Loves a sunny border where the white blooms will glisten.
