Sunflower Soluna Lemon (Helianthus debilis)

Delightful soft yellow small round blooms each enhanced by a dark centre, on short stems making them ideal for cutting and adding to smaller bouquets. Each small 8cm bloom is accompanied by many more on well branched plants flowering freely all summer towards the back of borders. Makes a good cut flower too.

When to Sow Soluna Lemon Sunflower Seeds

Where to Sow

Sow seed thinly in drills 45cm (18") apart in well cultivated soil raked to a fine tilth. Germination usually takes 15-21 days.

For Earlier Sowings

Sow indoors, individually in 7.5cm (3") pots at 20-25°C. When well grown, gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost has passed in a well-drained soil in full sun or into containers.

When large enough to handle, thin to 45cm (18") apart.
