They are happy in containers as well as in the ground, where they do best planted at a depth of three times the height of the bulb. They spend several months developing roots before they flower in spring, usually between February and May.
They are very easy to grow and brighten up any garden style, they will flower every Spring for many years to come. They are extremely popular in the UK and will decorate many gardens and roadsides during the spring months.
The botantical name for daffodils is 'Narcissis'.
