When to Sow Halo Mixed Hollyhock Seeds

January to March or July to September

Where to Sow

Sow seed on the surface of the compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of vermiculite or finely sieved compost. Place in a propagator or in a warm place at around 15-20°C (59-68°F) until the seeds germinate.

What to do Next

When seedlings are large enough to handle transplant each seedlings into individual pots or multi-cell tray. Plant out spring raised plants into a sunny border 45cm (18") apart. Late summer/ autumn raised plants can be over-wintered in a cold frame and planted out the following spring.
