Sow February to June. Plant out from May to July.

Where to Sow

Sow seeds on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days.    

What to do Next

Transplant seedlings, when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30-45cm (12-18in) apart. 

Handy Tip

These are non-selectable for double blooms, will produce approx. 50% double flowers and some single flowers also. Both types of bloom make attractive additions to floral bouquets.
