When to sow Sophistica Blackberry Petunia Pellets

February to March

Where to sow

Sow seed on the surface of a good free draining seed compost and lightly cover the seeds with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite or compost. Place in a propagator or a warm place at a temperature of 20-25°C until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

What to do next

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passes, 15-30cm (6-12") apart in borders or containers.

June to September

25-38cm (10-15")

Handy tip

Regular removal of dead flowers will encourage new growth and a continuous display.
