Chicory Rossa di Verona

Description

Chicory seeds - Rossa di Verona can be sown thinly from April to August. It will form tight red heads during the winter without the aid of protection and can be used in salads or cooked.

Chicory is a salad addition similar to lettuce but with more of a distinct flavour. It is slightly bitter in taste but the blanching of the leaves lessens this bitterness.

Where to Sow
