Description

Achillea millefolium (Yarrow) is an aromatic perennial herb. Produces fine fern-like feathered leaves with flat white or pinkish flowers that flower over a long summer period, from June to October. The flowers form in flat topped clusters. Yarrow is a British wildflower which will self seed each year. Has a large tap root. Commonly mixed with grasses and other herbs. Can be used in herbal teas as a remedy for fevers and as a gigestive tonic. Yarrow can also be a useful dye plant, producing brown and green coloured dyes.

When to Sow Achillea millefolium Yarrow Seeds

Sow in late autumn or early winter directly into the soil and cover lightly. Plant in a sunny position in well-drained soil. These can tolerate drought. Flowers June to October the following year.
Position in full sun or partial shade.
Can be planted in most soil types.
