Verbascum Chaixii album snowy spires
Stunning floral spikes clothed in crisp pure-white florets with eye-catching magenta centers enhanced by the lush green foliage. A stately perennial loved by bees to grace borders or containers.
Height 30-60cm (12-24in)
Product Part Number: 75603
When to sow
Sow February to March or August to September
Plant Out May to October
Flowers June to August (Following year from later sowings)
WHERE TO SOW
Sow onto the surface of pots and trays on moist seed compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place and keep at a temperature of between 15-18C (60-65F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 7.5cm (3") pots or trays. Gradually acclimatize plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 45-60cm (18-24") apart in a sunny border.
Prefers to grow in full sun in moist well-drained soil.
A Mulch protection in winter can be beneficial.
