When to Sow Sweet William Gemstone Seeds

May to early July.

Where to Sow

Prepare a nursery bed and sow direct about 1cm deep in rows 20cm apart.

What to do Next

When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 5cm apart, thin again later to 15cm apart. In September or October, transplant to flowering site 20cm apart.

Maturity

July to August the following year.

Handy Tip

The strong upright stems make for good cut flowers. Regular dead heading will prolong the flowering period.
