They are undemanding and pretty well disease free, but like all plants they will benefit from good treatment. We strongly recommend sowing the seeds into a good quality seed sowing compost rather than multi-purpose compsot. We also suggest using tap water rather than butt saved water for the seeds and seedlings. This is because it can contain harmful pathogens, and result in poor germination.
