If sowing seeds in Septmeber, make sowings in to the flowering site 2cm deep. If sowing later, sow into 7.5cm deep pots, with 5 seeds per pot. Keep October and November sowings in a cold frame and January sowings in a heated glasshouse. March sowings also in a cold frame. April sowings direct to flowering site.
Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.
