Sweet Pea Lathyrus Latifolius Mix (Everlasting Sweet Pea)

Description

Sadly this form does not have the fragrance of sweet peas but it makes up for it with the sheer quantity, size and colour of the blooms. Deep purple red, pink to white. Provide some form of trellis, wires, teepees or netting supports for plants to climb up and disguise sheds, fences or walls. Flowers from June to September.

Kings seeds recommend sowing seeds into a good quality seed sowing compost and water only with tap water. Do not use butt water as this can contain harmful pathogens, resulting in poor germination

Where to Sow

Under cover sow seeds into pots or trays of seed soeing compost, covering the seed to its own depth at a temperature of 18-20°C (65-70°F until after germination which usually takes 7-21 days.

What to do Next

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots. Harden off and plant out when all risk of frost has passed, 30cm (12") apart. Autumn sown plants should be overwintered in a coldframe for planting out the following spring.
