Description

Mimulus Tigrinus are pretty orchard-like flowers in shades of yellow blotched copper. They are well suited to moist areas in bog gardens, rock garden, beside a pond or a pool edge. These short lived flowers will benefit from being cut back to get a second flush. Flowers June to September.
These flowers self seed.
Height 30-40cm.

When to Sow Tigrinus Mimulus Seeds

February and March.

Where to Sow

Sow thinly in pots or trays of good compost under glass at 15C. No need to cover the seed with compost.

What to do Next

As soon as large enough to handle, prick off into trays 5cm apart. Grow on and gradually harden off before planting in the flowering site in May.

Maturity

Late June to September.

Handy Tip

For bedding use, treat as an annual but it often self seeds, but in bog garden or ponds it is fully perennial.
