When to Sow Mr Majestic Marigold Seeds

Where to Sow

Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in posts or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or in a warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 21-25°C (70-75°F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days.

What to do Next

As soon as seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12") apart in well drained soil in full sun.
