Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed 23cm (9-12”) apart. Phlox seeds can also be sown outdoors where they are to flower. Sow 6cm (1⁄4”) deep in rows 23cm (9”) apart.
With regular dead heading, Phlox will flower all summer in borders or containers.
