Shallot Sets

Grow your own shallots from sets, if you prefer a faster, simpler start. These sets are immature bulbs that establish quickly, giving your crop a valuable head start. Autumn planting shallot sets are available for delivery from September onwards, ready for planting in either autumn. Our spring planting shallot sets are available for delivery from November onwards. If ordering early, we advise to lay them out to prevent sweating until they are ready to plant.

Autumn-planting sets: Plant from mid-September to mid-October for strong overwintering growth and an early summer harvest.
Spring-planting sets: Plant between March and April for a dependable, mid-season crop.
