Savoy Seeds

Savoy is a from the cabbage family. It is the hardiest of all cabbages. They are familiar for their crinkled and blistered leaves. They will withstand the hardest of all winters to produce fresh vegetables when there is a short supply. Sow savoy seeds from late April to June into trays or modules under glass at a temperature of 13°C. Alternatively, outdoor sowings can be made in a seed bed in shallow drills at 2cm deep. Once the plants have 5 to 6 leaves, transplant to their final position with 45cm between each plant, and 60cm between each row. Plant firmly and water regularly while the plants establish.
Harvesting begins from September, depending on the variety of cabbage seeds you have sown.
