Red Sun shallots set Arguably the best red shallot. It is a deep red coloured variety of good size producing 5 or 6 crisp, white fleshed shallots from each set that have an excellent flavour both raw and when cooked. This particular shallot is ideal for pickling and best sown from early April.

On arrival, shallot sets should be laid out to prevent sweating and sprouting. Any apparent deterioration in quallity should be notified to us within 7 days of receipt of goods. Plant sets just below the surface 15-20cm apart along the row and spaced 30-45cm between the rows.
