Pea Bean

Description

An unusual delight. The Pea Bean has small round seeds like peas. It has a unique flavour when cooked whole or shelled like peas making it a real all rounder. The plant climbs like a runner bean, producing pods that are similar to a large mangetout pea which can be picked young and cooked whole; but as the pods mature they can be shelled like peas and the seeds cooked lightly, or it can be left to dry and the pretty white and brown bi-coloured seeds can be used as normal dried beans. Sow in late May or June and treat just as you would runner beans
