When to Sow Shun Li Choi Seeds

May to August

Plant Out

June to September

Harvest

July to October

Where to Sow Outdoors

Sow thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm (½") deep, directly into finely-prepared soil. Sow from May for baby leaf, June onwards for full-size plants. Allow 30cm (12in) between rows. Can also be sown into modules filled with seed sowing compost and transplanted out, filling vacant spaces on the plot.

What to do next

Keep well-watered in dry spells. Harvest un-thinned as baby leaves, can also thin out seedlings or plant out modules to 20-25cm (8-10in) apart to produce mature plants. Regular sowings, made every two to three weeks, will ensure a continuous supply.

Handy Tip

If short of space can also be grown in containers on a Patio.
