When to Sow Oxford Blue Sweet Peas

Between September and April

How to Sow Sweet Peas

Sow in partial shade or full sun. Sow direct into the flowering site in September, October or April. Sweet pea seeds can be sown into 7.5cm pots, with 5 seeds in each. Keep in a cold frame or glasshouse and do not let the soil dry out. When the plants have 3 pairs of true leaves, pinch out the tops to encourafe side shoots. Harden off, and then plant out in early April, weather permitting. Once the plants are established, they would benefit from supports such as trellis or a frame to climb up.
