Sweet Pea Hannah Magovern

Description

SWEET PEA HANNAH MAGOVERN

Highly Scented      Good for Exhibition      Spencer Type

Strong stems with outstanding bright scarlet blooms, ideal for cutting and used on the showbench.

Sweet peas are an easy flower to grow. They are undemanding and pretty well disease free but like most plants will benefit from good treatment.

Kings seeds recommend sowing seeds into a good quality seed sowing compost and water only with tap water. Do not use butt water as this can contain harmful pathogens, and this can cause poor germination

When to Sow Hannah Magovern Sweet Pea Seeds

September to April

Where to Sow

September sowings in flowering site 2cm (3/4") deep. Later sowings can be made in a 7.5cm pot with up to 5 seeds in each. Place October and November sowings in a cold frame. January sowings in a heated glasshouse. March sowings in a cold frame. April sowings can also be made direct to flowering site.

What to do Next

Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown sweet pea seedlings in the flowering site at 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick the flowers regularly to encourage new growth.

Maturity
