Daily Mail is a highly scented Spencer type which are good for exhibition. The blooms are a gorgeous bold cerise pink with creamy white base, and a good uniform colour.


Kings seeds recommend sowing seeds into a good quality seed sowing compost and water only with tap water. Do not use butt water as this can contain harmful pathogens, resulting in poor germination

When to Sow Daily Mail Sweet Pea Seeds

September to April

Where to Sow

September sowings in flowering site 2cm (3/4 - 1in") deep. Make later sowings in a 7.5cm pot with 5 seeds in each. Keep October and November sowings in a cold frame and January sowings in a heated glasshouse. March sowings in a cold frame. April sowings direct to flowering site.

What to do Next

Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.
