Mrs Bernard Jones is a striking Sweet Pea variety, producing blooms of almond-pink on white. This particular sweet pea is named after one of the world's great sweet pea breeder's wife.

When to Sow Mrs Bernard Jones Sweet Pea Seeds

September to April

Where to Sow

September sowings in flowering site 2cm (1") deep. Later sowings in pots, five seeds in each. October and November sowings in a cold frame. January sowings in an unheated glasshouse. March sowings in a cold frame. April sowings direct in flowering site.

What to do Next

Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.
