Kings Seeds Wins Gold at Centenary Chelsea Flower Show
Here at KINGS SEEDS we are thrilled to have won a Gold Medal for our debut appearance at the UK's most prestigious flower show, the RHS Chelsea this year. Our stand, designed by BBC Gardener of the Decade, Katherine Crouch, from Ilminster, looked at 125 years of seed retailing, both privately and commercially, and showcased how key events has impacted upon what, why and how we grow to eat.
Our lovey model, Lucy Ellis, is actually the daughter of Tracy Palmer who is our Marketing Manager. Lucy wore a unique dress of seeds and beans, made by Kathy and a stunning hat made by upcoming Milliner Harvy Santos, and caused a sensation on Mondays Press Day
The stand was project managed by Claire Hart of Grassroots PR who said ;- "It was great fun helping to create something that the judges felt was "fascinating, educational with fantastic attention to detail". We are very grateful to Quercus Fencing who made the pergola, plus everyone who loaned us equipment like the lovely Salt Glazed pots from Errington Reay and bespoke wooden VeggyTables, and generally helped us make this happen."
Kathy Crouch, who had only 24 hours in which to submit the original design admitted that it had been "very hard work, but I am over the moon to have won Gold with such a cracking team and to win a gold for Kings Seed, is amazing"
