When to Sow Lobelia Masterpiece Blue Seeds

Sow January to March. Plant out May to June.

Flowers

June to September

Where to Sow

Sow seed on the surface of slightly firmed, moist seed sowing compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or a warm place and keep at a temperature of between  20-25°C (68-77°F). After sowing do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

What to do Next

When seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 23-30cm (9-12") apart or plant into baskets and containers filled with a good quality  potting compost.

Handy Tip

Stunning as a long flowering summer edging plant for borders.
