When to Sow Matsumoto Mixed Aster Seeds

Sow March to April. Palnt out May to June.

Flowers

July to October.

Where to Sow

Sow in trays of moist seed compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a warm place and keep at a temperature of between 20-25°C (68-77°F).

What to do Next

When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out, after all risk of frost, 30-45cm (12-18") apart in well-drained soil in full sun.

Handy Tip

Cut stems of blooms regularly, and plunge stems in water as soon as cut to prolong vase life.
