Description
This variety is probably the sweetest of cabbages. It can be used as a mini vegetable or fully nature at about 1kg in weight. A must for cabbage growers.

WHEN TO SOW Mid February to May WHERE TO SOW Early sowings in trays or modules under glass at 13°C. Later sowings direct into a seed bed in shallow drills 2cm (1") deep. WHAT TO DO NEXT Prick off glasshouse seedlings when 6-8cm (3" 4") tall into trays 5cm (2") apart. Thin module sowings to single plants. Harden off before planting out in the growing site from early June at 45cm (18") apart. Thin outdoor sowings to 4-6cm (2-3") apart as soon as possible. Planting in the growing site when 15cm (6") tall to same spacings. MATURITY July to September HANDY TIPS To avoid the disease 'club root' in land used for brassica, ensure a rotation in your crop programme. Mid-October sowing in a cold greenhouse and planting out in March will give an early crop. NUTRITIONAL VALUES Excellent source of vitamin C & B. The darkest leaves contain the most nutrients.
