April and May.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow in short shallow drills about 1cm apart deep in open ground of fine soil.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When seedlings are about 10cm tall transplant to growing site spacing 35cm apart. Make sure soil is firm around roots and water well.
MATURITY
Late January to April.
HANDY TIP
If conditions are too dry in May, try sowing seed in plug trays, they can then be easily planted out within disturbing the roots as soon as conditions improve.
