WHEN TO SOW
March to June
WHERE TO SOW
Sow the seeds thinly in shallow drills 1cm (½")   deep in the growing site. Keep well watered.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Thin the seedlings as they grow to about 15cm (6") apart. The thinnings can be transplanted and will mature a little later. Finally, thin to 30cm (12") apart using the plants you remove as salad leaves.
MATURITY
8 weeks from sowing
HANDY TIP
All lettuces require a regular supply of water but Crisphead varieties require even more.
