An attractive bedding plant with its long red tassels but it can also be dried for winter use and makes a great pot plant. Flowers July to September. Height 60-90cm.

WHEN TO SOW

March to April
WHERE TO SOW

Sow the seeds in pots or trays under glass at 21-24 ° C. Cover with compost about 2mm deep and water well.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

When the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out into trays spacing seedlings 5cm (2") apart. Grow on and gradually harden off before planting outside 35cm (14") apart form late May.
MATURITY
July to October

HANDY TIP

Will grow well even in poor soil but does not like a sunny position. Can also be sown direct outside form late April.
