SOW IN SPRING Some seeds will germinate but most will wait until after the following winter. Be patient! Mixing the seed with damp sand in a plastic bag and leaving in the refrigerator for several weeks before sowing, will encourage out of season germination,
SOW IN AUTUMN In a tray, on the surface of good quality compost. Cover with glass until germination takes place. Place tray outside and leave over the winter to be frosted. Bring inside in early spring to speed germination.
