SOW IN AUTUMN In a tray, on the surface of good quality compost (without sand). Cover with glass until germination takes place. Germination may be slow, so be patient!  To encourage the seed to break dormancy, it may be frozen and thawed several times by placing in the refigerator before sowing.

Great Mullein Hardy Perennial  Height 30cm - 200cm (12"- 6'.6")  A statuesque plant with rosettes of felty grey leaves at ground level and very tall spires of densely crowded, single yellow flowers. The whole plant is covered with softish white wool. A good plant for the back of borders or as a striking feature.

Musk Mallow Hardy Perennial  Height 30cm - 80cm (12£ - 30")  Musk Mallow has finely cut, kidney shaped, pale green leaves on erect stems with flowers in clusters at the top. The large, single, flat flowers are usually rose pink and, more rarley, white. The Musk Mallow is one of the prettiest wild plants and will certainly beautify a border.
