WHEN TO SOW
January to March.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow the seeds in trays 2cm apart or individually into module cells, under glass at 18ƒC. Cover with glass or polythene to retain humidity.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Remove, cover as soon as first seedling appears. Once leaves have opened, prick off tray seedlings into 9cm pots. When the first flowers are forming. Transplant into growing position. Stake plants for support and remove side shoots as they appear.
MATURITY
Late July onwards.
HANDY TIP
Very suitable for salads but ideal for cooking and frying. Can be frozen for later use in cooking.
