WHEN TO SOW
Late February to April
WHERE TO SOW
In pots or trays in greenhouse at 16-18°C.  The seed will take five to fifteen days to germinate. 
WHEN TO TRANSPLANT
When seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out into trays and grow on. Gradually harden off and plant out from the end of May onwards.  Set plants
8-12inches apart.  The growing site should have full sun and fertile well drained soil.
HARVEST
Cut off branches as needed.  Allow seedheads to dry on plants; remove and collect seeds.
HANDY TIP
Marigolds act as a natural insect repellant when planted among vegetables - by attracting the bugs away from other plants.
USES
Aromatic leaves can be used as a substitute for French tarragon or as a stimulating tea.
