Sow direct into the growing site 1cm deep in shallow drills.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Fennel should not be transplanted. Thin the seedlings as soon as they are large enough to handle 20-25cm apart.
MATURITY
Bulbs will be ready about September, leaves can be used from June.

The whole plant has a flavour, leaves for fish dishes, stems and bulbs raw in salads or braised as a vegetable. |
