WHEN TO SOW
February to April
WHERE TO SOW
Sow the seeds individually in 9cm pots under glass at 25°C. Push the seed edgewise into the compost 1cm deep.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
As soon as seedlings have produced 3 true leaves, transplant into 15cm pots. When the plants are about 10cm tall, plant out in the growing site, maintaining 21°C. When watering, always use tap water at room temperature to avoid any bacterial infection.
MATURITY
Fruit should be ready about 12 week after sowing
HANDY TIP
One of the traditional ways to ensure germination is to fold a damp sheet of kitchen paper in half, and place the seeds on their edge in the fold. Then place ina plastic bag and put them in the airing cupboard. Check daily and once germinated, place in compost and grow on as normal. Water regularly and often water the ground to increase himidity but give good ventilation to avoid disease.
