Cucumber  Diana F1 Description:
A mid-season choice bearing fruit up to 37cm in length. Especially chosen as it will tolerate slightly lower temperatures during its growth. 4 SEEDS Sow the seeds edgeways in individual pots, modules or peat pots from late February up to late April under glass at 20C.Maintain the temperature both day and night. Keep the plants moist but not waterlogged and plant in the glasshouse border or in grow bags in late March or April. Train the stem up wires or canes, pinch out the growing point when it reaches the roof. Pinch out the side shoots 2 leaves beyound a female flower (the flower with a miniature cucumber behind it) feed regularly with tomato feed once fruit start to sewell. Spray the floor twice daily to give a humid atmosphere. Crop start in June.

Sow 2 seeds in each pot under glass at 25°C night and day. Later sowings can be made in may in cold frame
WHAT TO DO NEXT
When 3 true leaves have formed transplant into 15cm pots. When plants are 10cm tall plant greenhouse varieties in grow bags or greenhouse border and train up wires or sticks. Harden off outdoor varieties and plant out in June.  When watering, always use tap water at room temperature to avoid any bacterial infection.
HANDY TIP
One of the traditional ways to ensure germination is to fold a damp sheet of kitchen paper in half, and place the seeds on their edge in the fold.  Then place ina plastic bag and put them in the airing cupboard.  Check daily and once germinated, place in compost and grow on as normal.
