Courgette  Jemmer F1 (Award of Garden Merit) Description:
Brighten the dish no end with this bright yellow variety.The fruits taste just like the others. Highly prolific on compact plants. 12 PLANTS Sow single seeds inpots or modules, placed pointed end downward, under glass at 15C in April or sow 2 or 3 seeds at each stantio direct in the growing site after all chance of frost. Cover with a cloche or even a jam jar to encourage germination. Thin to a single seedling as soon as possible. Harden off pot grown seedlings before planting out. Allow 90cm each way around plants. Water very regularly and feed often.

WHERE TO SOW  

Early sowings in pots or trays 2cm (1”) under glass at 16°C. May sowings in cold frame or under cloches. Early June sowings direct into the growing site 2cm (1”) deep, 2 or 3 seeds in each position 60cm (24”) apart.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

Glasshouse and under cover sowings should be gradually hardened off once they have developed the first pair of rough leaves, and transplanted to the growing site in late May 60cm (24”) apart. Outdoor sowings should be thinned to one seedling as soon as possible.

HANDY TIP

Silvery blotches on the leaves of F1 hybrid plants is not a sign of disease but the natural leaf colouring.
