A traditional British variety that we are proud to bring back after many years. Not quite as uniform as the modern type but will produce good solid large heads for late March and early April cutting. WHEN TO SOW April to May. WHERE TO SOW Sow the seeds thinly in a well prepared seed bed outside, 2cm deep with 15cm between rows. WHAT TO DO NEXT As soon as possible, thin the seedlings to 10cm apart. When the seedlings have formed 5 or 6 leaves, transplant, taking as much soil as possible, into the growing site 60cm apart and rows 75cm apart. MATURITY Mid May the following year. HANDY TIP Cauliflower plants dislike any check in growth, never allow root area to dry out. |
