March to May.
WHERE TO SOW
Sow thinly direct into the growing site 2cm deep in rows 25cm apart. If possible sow carefully so that thinning is not necessary.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
If you have to thin the seedlings, do so in the evening. Water before thinning and remove all debris. Do not transplant. Aim for roots 4-6cm apart. Young carrots can be pulled alternately to ìthin as you eatî.
MATURITY
Mid June onwards.
HANDY TIP
A good variety for early exhibition use. Try making holes with a bar, filling with compost and sowing seed for large specimen carrots.
